Children’s Illustrators: Kay Nielsen
Born in Denmark in 1886, Nielsen was inspired by Art Nouveau and Eastern influences in his illustrations, and adopted many practices of Japanese woodcuts, such as asymmetrical composition, large vacant areas, sinuous linework, and flattened perspective.

He knows [a common swear word] for sure. Apart from that, it’s “hi” and “how are you”. Crosby is generally a pretty inquisitive person. He isn’t just interested in hockey. We go out to dinner together. He asks me about Russia. I had a house-warming party recently, but Crosby didn’t have time to come, he was busy. But the other guys from the team came over and it was fun.

id get up on the couch with a frisbee and bounce around pretending to kill people with it sometimes my dad would join me … not in the bouncing, he usually died or carried me around (died a lot)
xena has a special place in my heart because, when i was little i used to think my mom looked a little bit like xena.
